Arguably, the most emotionally touching event organized during the 400 years completion celebrations of Rajkot city was a ‘Senior Citizens’ Old Sports’ meet, organized by the Divya Bhaskar daily, Rajkot.

Believe it or not, more than forty senior (and prominent) citizens of Rajkot gathered together and played – now long forgotten – games like Moy Dandiyo, Nagol, Theri and Chopat. Indeed a befitting tribute to our Rajkot city when its 401st birthday was being celebrated!

The long list of distinguished
Rajkotians-players included Vajubhai Vala (Gujarat Finance Minister), Ashwinbhai Mehta (Congress Leader), Manubhai Bagdai, Lalitbhai Ramjiani, Dilsukhbhai Sheth, Tapubhai Limbasiya, Kantibhai Vaid and scores of others.

With the well-renowned Gujarati screen comedian Ramesh Mehta – a senior citizen of Rajkot himself – loose on the microphone all throughout the event, can there be any doubts that the ‘fun factor’ was doubled for all present? ;-) Check the pics below and on the following albums for all the action.

And no one can blame....
... Ramesh Mehta of insincerity. He is playing his advisory role so sincerely that Jagdeesh Acharya (of Divya Bhaskar) can hardly control himself. :-)))

And now,...
... evan Kana Bantva (Executive Editor, Divya Bhaskar) and Vajubhai find it difficult to control themselves.
