Many records have been created in the process of celebrating the 401st birthday of Rajkot. In making a 27-foot long cake weighing 401 kg, the proprietors of Patel Vijay dairy farm have also created a record or sorts.
It was during the very first meeting held to plan the celebrations for Rajkot’s 401st birthday that the traders of the Marketing Yard, Rajkot had announced their plan to sponsor a 401 kg cake to celebrate the event.
Since such a large cake is |
highly uncommon, this announcement had aroused a lot of curiosity and questions like "who would be able to make something like this" were also doing the rounds of the city.
The challenge to make such a cake, however, was accepted by a father-son duo Parshottambhai and Kanubhai Khoyani who run the Prahlad Plot, Rajkot based Patel Vijay dairy. According to them, “it was a challenge indeed, but our quest to always do something new and unique helped us win the day”. |
